人/亻(rén;person)
The pictograph 人 means person. The ancient form of 人 looks like a profile of
a person. As a radical, it often stands on the left of a compound, where it is
written as 亻, such as in 他 (tā;him) and 代 (dài;generation). The character
众 (zhòng;mass) consists of three people, to signify a lot of people.
