人/亻（rén；person）
The pictograph 人 means person. The ancient form of 人 looks like a profile of
a person. As a radical, it often stands on the left of a compound, where it is
written as 亻, such as in 他 （tā；him） and 代 （dài；generation）. The character
众 （zhòng；mass） consists of three people, to signify a lot of people.
